A2A Illuminazione Pubblica, the company that manages the system, agreed with the municipality to introduce Trails technology in an industrial area that’s important to the local area. The goal was to apply TAI (Traffic Adaptive Installation) adaptive lighting across the entire industrial zone, except at roundabouts, where fixed profiles remain active, still guaranteeing a lighting level never below 30%.
This was made possible by the flexibility of the Trails system, which allows multiple lighting groups to be managed independently (automatically or at a fixed level) based on the needs of the project, the operator, or the municipality.
Thanks to the installation of our adaptive lighting system, applied in compliance with the UNI 11248 standard, energy efficiency reached peaks of over 45%.

The operator and the municipality needed to guarantee efficient lighting across a large, mixed-use industrial area, while maintaining a consistent level of safety at the network’s most sensitive points, such as roundabouts.
131 Trails Island Sound AI devices were installed, connected to 4 electrical panels and organized into 8 lighting groups: 6 with TAI (Traffic Adaptive Installation) adaptive regulation, and 2 with fixed profiles dedicated to the roundabouts, to ensure safety in all conditions.
